Uchiwa fan wall light designed in the 1970s by Ingo Maurer for his Munich based lighting design company, M-Design.
This delicate light is made from bamboo and laminated paper using traditional Japanese techniques.
This light was acquired from a private individual in Germany who owned the lamp from new, purchased in the early 70s.
In rare to find very good condition, with a lovely aged tone. No paper loss or damage. A small age related imperfection on the left side, only visible on close inspection. Original wall mounting, wiring and switch all in perfect working order. Currently on a 2 pin EU plug (can be changed to 3 pin on request).
